Message from the Dean

　　Welcome to the College of Business website. As a Dean, I am proud of the progress of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology and this College, and pleased to have this opportunity to share our accomplishments with you.

　　The College includes 9 departments, 1 doctoral program, 1 bachelor program, and 13 master programs. We provide students the undergraduate, graduate, and executive programs, with the education, tools, and experience which are necessary to launch and accelerate successful business careers. The College credits its success to the expert faculty, close partnerships with the business and industry, and emphasis on rigorous academics combined experiential learning.

　　During the evaluation made by the Taiwan Assessment and Evaluation Association authorized by the Ministry of Education in 2009, our college and all the 9 departments earned the first class achievement.

　　The College of Business sets up a full English GMBA program and enrolled students from 13 countries. There are currently 90 international students, and our college is the best representative towards internationalization in our university.

　　Our College develops vigorously internship training courses, such as the Sandwich Plan, and short-term internship training courses for the undergraduate and graduate students. These courses can help our students to advance their understanding of the ecology of the enterprise and their future careers; therefore, students will have fewer obstacles to fulfill their expertise.

　　We also actively promote industry-university cooperation with enterprises. Our College supported more than 40% of teachers to involve in experiential practice, and hundreds of students joined industry-university cooperation cases each year.

　　Not only students are encouraged to obtain professional certifications, our College also earns the premium award of ERP software applications for teachers’ certification each year. Surveying the domestic office workers in 2008, our EMBA program obtained the most favorite program among all technology universities.

　　We make many efforts to create a creative, innovative, entrepreneurial learning environment. Cross-departments and cross-colleges competition teams formed, and gained the one million dollars prize in the 2008 and 2009 ACER smile competition.

　　All our strengths and our focus come together to prepare students for a lifetime achievement in the business world. We expect ourselves to be the most favorite college for students and the best partner of industry-university cooperation in Taiwan.
