Ume—a student team from the Department of International Business, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology--recently participated in the 2018 National University (5th) Creative Marketing Planning Competition, organized by China University of Science and Technology, winning the championship of the Creative Marketing Group. The competition was attended by more than 100 teams from colleges and universities across the country. The competition was divided into two groups: Creative Marketing Group and Innovative Entrepreneurship Group. The 10 teams that won the special awards in the preliminary contest entered the finals, and the competition was fierce. Ume was jointly guided by Prof. Wei-Zhen Yang, Chair of the Department of International Business, and Prof. Jia-Jun Lin of the Department of Visual Communication Design. Not only did their plan receive a special award, their superior on-the-spot presentation performance and implementation in marketing practice also brought them the championship.
