The
49th National Bakery Skills Competition of Southern District announced its
results recently. Yu-Hua Wu of the Department of Hospitality Management,
Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, won first prize in the
Professional Production Category with her work “Little Red Riding Hood and the
Big Wolf," under the guidance of Prof. Hong-Ru Tsai. A total of 36
contestants participated in the competition. The design concept of Yu-Hua Wu’s
bakery art was based on the scenario that the big wolf saw Little Red Riding
Hood in the forest. The big wolf used as an excuse to approach her that he hid
in the dark to protect the Little Red Riding Hood. In fact, the wolf was hiding
in the dark while he kept thinking about eating the girl. This was the story
she employed to present this work.
